    how do i connect it to the computer there is no port to allow it to the cpu

    Does it have the FireWire (i.Link) plug? If so, you'll have to get a FireWire adaptor for your computer.

    As answered on another post, a lot of adaptors come pre-packaged with video editing software.

    If it's too old and doesn't have a i.Link, you might have to upgrade your camcorder (or borrow someone else's) to capture it on your computer.
