   For some reason in My Computer it is recognizing my DVD rom drive as a Media device instead of a DVD rom drive. I don't have the original software because it didn't com with my system. Dose anyone know how to get my Icon changed back?

   Try removing it in Device Manager, reboot, and see if it shows up properly
