the w850i can only be unlocked by calling ur network provider and requesting an unlock code, for 3 they will charge the existing amount of ur contract is left, also the original owner will have to call, for vodafone if u call i think they offer it for £20 not sure though.

Ive gota (simless) sony ericsson W850i locked on 3 network, ive been to various moble shops around my area to see if they could help me out. ive been told that at the mo its impossible to get into the phone as 3 have some sorta network bar contract with sony eric, and theres pro's out there still tryin to break into them. ive asked about debranding and flashing with no luck. id do it myself if i knew what softaware and stuff i needed to unlock. hopefully theres hlp out there feel free to conact me wih any feedback on the matter

i know where you can get all sony ericsson including the w850i unlocked on 3 and Vodafone. I do not do the unlocking it is the person who did my phone it does work i promise and is worth every penny.
