"ok - just did clean hard drive dump/replacement and upgraded to WINDOWS VISTA ULTIMATE. Everything works but Sony's MPEG Encoder...
It's recognized in the device manager (i tried to rip multiple drivers from sony - none work) but i can't get Windows Media Center to recognize the Tuner card and can't set up the TV. I tried to take Giga pocket off the original recovery discs but since that was XP it won't work. Called sony - they said wait 25-50 years and we'll get an updated driver out. Anyone have any solutions? Here's the specs:

    MODEL - SONY VAIO PCV-RZ34G
    RUNNING ON VISTA ULTIMATE
    PENTIUM 4 - 2.8GHZ
    1.5 GIGS RAM
    32 BIT OPERATING SYSTEM
RUNNING 2 SIDE BY SIDE 160 GIG HARD DRIVES"
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

AGAK - Ok I tried the TV Tuner Library update - and loaded in the driver. After I plug the driver in windows cuts out and goes to safe mode. I then reboot and run Windows Media Center to try and set-up the TV - but back to safe mode I go....After I disable the driver everything goes back to normal but no TV. Probably easier to just dump the crappy sony card and go to another brand....

Anyone have a gauranteed to work with Vista Ultimate and Windows Media Center TV tuner card recommendation? Also - I cannot use PCI-e - only AGP/PCI.

    ___________________________________________________________________

I still haven't heard if anyone has a perfectly working TV Tnuer card??? I downloaded NERO and I can see the channels for a split second but then it freezes. I still can't figure out how to get the MPEG working with Vista - has anyone figured this out - someone had to by now..............

    HELP~~~~~

I have a PCV-RX600N. The hard drive failed and I'm trying to get the ENX-15 running properly on XP Pro. I have downloaded the files for this and the TV tuner worked for a few minutes. The video froze then would not work again, even on a reboot. Now when I bring up the Giga Pocket 4.3 I get a green and pink checkerboard screen. Sony doesn't make the recovery discs for this model anymore but they said they would re-image the machine for $99. Why would the Giga Pocket recorder have a green and pink video? It's supposed to have the nVidia GeForce2ti but the dvice manager says GeForce2 DDR. I got the video drivers from the Sony site.

    Thanks agak,

I'll try that. The video card is an ASUS V7700ti/D/64SG and it is the original adapter for this model. I'll search for that on the nVidia site and keep you posted. I really appreciate your response!!

    Update...

I found driver version 71.89 and no difference in displaying the TV. I can hear the sound from the TV but the video is still green and pink checkerboard.I'm having a little trouble locating drivers for this video card. I'm not sure that is the latest version. I'm beginning to think this card is dead. None of the capture inputs work on it. Am I missing something here? Here's a link to my screen shot.

    Hello everybody

I'am still with my no-sound problem.....(my previous posts)
After some weeks I am by my father with a sound cable. I plugged it and nothing happens (cable is connected to AUX on the sound card, and AUX is activated).
I noticed and checked with ohm-meter that the gounds on the ENX-25 do not correspond to the ones on my cable, so I swapped them but still nothing.

Do someone have a schema (or a photograph) of a working cable ?
    Many thanks

I've tried thre different video drivers now. I tried the original first. Then the ones that came with the GigaPocketV4.3+SimpleDVD. I installed the gigapocket package and with that version. The live TV looks like screen shot above. Then I updated the video drivers from the sony site. Then I updated the video drivers from the nVidia site. All with no success. Maybe this ENX-15 is dead...

I also tried to register the dll's that came with the Gigapocket software. None of them would regsvr32. It said it found them but no DllRegisterServer entry point was found. Sounds like a registry entry is missing somewhere.

    Hi people,

Does anyone know if is possible GigaPocket card somehow to operate with PAL-M broadcast system instead NTSC? I've moved from US to Brazil and brought with me my computer (Sony-vaio VCG-RB36G) but here the image still black and white. I was wondering if is there any driver that could solve this problem.
    Thanks in advance any sugestion.

    Hello

I am still with my sound problem on my father's PC.
To remind the problem, his PC died+DSL modem after an electric storm (thanks to the telephone line). He brought his PC to a local seller ho replaced the M/B for an ASUS.
I reinstalled the ENX-25, I can capture but no sound. I read through this pages that a cable is required between the ENX-25 and AUX connector on the sound adapter. I tried without success. Here are photographs of both ends of the canle I am using (I tried to swap wires after have tested that the 2 firts connectors are wired on the ENX-25 but no way to have sound).
Can anyone check this cable and tell me if it is OK ? Many thanks !

I just reinstalled my whole OS and when trying to install GigaPocket 4.3 off the app recovery disc, realized that the CD is scratched beyond repair!

Does anyone know how i can get the app recovery disc without having to pay for new ones?

You should be able to download GigaPocket directly from Sony. I've done that before when I reinstalled and couldn't find my application CDs. Unfortunately I don't have a link, but you should be able to find it on Google or Sony's site. Otherwise, hopefully someone can post a link to it.

For GigaPocket 4.3, see page 12 of this forum.
