Sony mp3 sound very low

    My mp3 players sound went very low all of a sudden. I have it years (roughly 3) it's a Sony NW-A3000. I think it's something affecting the contact with the jack. It's not the headphones. How do I open the case?

    Edit: Just tried to connect it to my speakers and as soon as I put in the jack I get alot of white noise without even turning on the mp3.
