Sony PC101 problems loading tapes

My PC101 is refusing to load any tapes. When I close the compartment it makes noises like it is trying to load but then just spits it out shortly afterwards. The screen gives me a code which equates to a condensation problem but I've had it open now for over a week. If no tape is inserted then the compartment closes ok. Is my camcorder finally toast ?

 

I once had the same problem and finally had to take the camcorder to a repair station...
