Sorry if this has been answered before but i couldn't find the help i was looking for by searching. I am currently useing Any DVD, Nero and X-oom. And i know that x-oom is outdated, but it still works for a lot of older dvds without much hassle. Now my problem is I am trying to make a back up copy of desperate housewives season 2. I tried useing dvd shrink but, when I went to burn useing nero it would stop the burning process. I also tried making and exact copy useing Nero and a dvd+r dl that burned perfectly fine but will not play in my stand alone. I am thinking that Desperate Housewives is very new and I might need new programs to Burn it properly. But I am very new and need some help. Thanks

    Hello.

Normally if a DVD is not decrypted properly, the burn will fail in the read process and not the burn. If you post some specs on your setup (burner make/model, ram, etc.), it may help. Posting a failed burn log from Nero would provide the most information - just delete the first line of the log because it contains your Nero serial.

If you think your problem is software related, try using AnyDVD from Slysoft.com. They offer a 21 day free trial, and it handles anything I've ever tossed at it.

Additionally, you may want to booktype any and all DVD+ media to DVD-ROM. Older standalones may not recognize the DVD+ DL format since it is relatively new (about 5 years old).
