Hi guys..Looking at buying a new sound card..

Now I have 3 PCI 2.2 slots on my Mobo...

the card I was looking at requires a PCI 2.1 slot..

Will this card fit in my machine? I mean whats the difference between a PCI 2.2 and a PCI 2.1 slot?

    Cheers

    Mike

I've never come across different PCI versions before, but I've never heard of a PCI card being incompatible with a motherboard. You should be fine. Doing a bit of reading on the subject matter it looks like as long as the slot is the same (i.e. the card actually fits) it should work.
