Sound de-synch from the video?

I just burned a DVD last night which was in a .mpg format, I converted to the .VOB using DVDsanta, and when I finished burning it using Nero, I play it in my DVD and it all seems fine... however towards the end it seems like the sound de-synched from the video. It was almost as if the sound was behind what was going on on the DVD.

What are the causes for sound de-synching and how do I prevent it?

    Thanks in advance.

DVDSanta sometimes do that. If the original file is in mpeg format, just use Nero to encode and burn.

I am getting the same problem when burning some AVI files using Nero Vision Express. Usually happens towards the end of the video, sometimes earlier, sometimes not at all. I had thought it was the video clips themselves but when I watch on the computer, they seem to be synced up fine. Any ideas. Is it better to use Nero Burning ROM?
