On any PC that I had (and I never had one with a restore partition) the way to clear Bios passwords was to clear the RTC RAM. The password prompt would then accept 'enter'. To clear the RTC RAM. Power off and unplug. Locate the lithium battery in the motherboard. There should be a group of three pins (marked CLRTC) with a jumper joining pins 1 and 2. Remove the battery. Move the jumper to pins 2 and 3 an wait 30 seconds. Move the jumper back to pins 1 and 2. Restore the battery. Plug in. Power up. Good luck.
What do i do after i get into the bios settings? Where to go or what to do? BTW i have done that because im tired right now and i might be doing it tomorrow or so :/
I understood you wanted to get into the settings - I don't have anything to offer, except that I think sound drivers either have to be installed from the disk or going into Device Manager and trying to update from there. If that fails, you'll have to ask around the forums for someone with the same machine to provide an image file of the original install cd..
The problem is, No one in here have an eMachine W5243 Recovery Option... 1 out of 99 (Percent) people would have an Emachine like mine... What can i do to ask people? Like Send them message or somethin?
BTW about your reply up in the thing about the battery thing, Do i have to turn it or pull it to remove or how to remove it? Any Example? or tutorials...? I dont wanna just pull or turn adn break somethin' -_-...
I got a CMOS RTC battery so do i just pull it? I cant tell the different if they dont give me a clue :/(Coin and RTC)
disconnect the power cord from wall then remove the battery. count to 20, put battery back in, reconnect the power cord then turn on the computer. i'd suggest that you get somebody like a friend or whoever to do this as you plain don't know what you are doing.
THANKS!!! , by removing and putting it back in and it helped me The speaker are working again!!! Im so happy right now Thanks to you, ddp
