sound on dvd help

    i downloaded a movie and when i burned it onto a disk the sounds are off with the words. i burnt it with nero visions and i wrote it to my harddrive i then tried to burn it wiht nero express but the files were to big so i used dvd shrink and then burnt it with decryptor. everything said it was sucessful but when i put it in my dvd player it didn't work.

    Have you played the download on the pc to make sure audio ok there?
    Oh and I'd edit out the name of the movie - not released on dvd yet.

    Did you get a messages in Nero saying something like 'mostly in a pal format then NTSC would you like to keep the pal format'? If you're in a NTSC area (like US) click No. Will convert it to NTSC.
    Maybe why it's not playing in the dvd player.

    If the file plays back ok on the pc then use another program to convert it. You can use DivXtoDVD.
    Under 'standard' pick with format you're in - NTSC or PAL.
    You can then burn those files with Express or Burning Rom.

    i had the same problem then changed the name to some files and now i have no sound? can someone help me.

    If the original file is not out of sync listen to it after shrink. If it's ok then try burning the disc at the slowest speed. Good luck.
