WinDVD seems to be playing back MPG, AVI files perfectly fine however the second I throw a DVD the video comes out clean but the sound is non-existent. I tried uninstalling PowerDVD and still the problem persists. I am not sure what to do and whether it is a problem with already existing powerdvd audio drivers/codecs on my system... Help please. I have an XP 1700 with a GEforce 3 and an SB audigy.
    Thanks

Yup the sound is all the way up. Also I checked whether anything is muted and it is not. The wires are all connected.

I'm pretty sure it isn't the sound card... I was reading somewhere else that powerdvd and stuff create their own files which mess with the output when another player is used. Thats why I thought that powerdvd could be doing something with the sound files.... But till I know which files to remove so that intervideo windvd can replace them I don't think there will be any sound :).
