Soundcard Issues

    im not sure if this post is aloud in the forum

    ive recently installed windows xp, upgrading from windows 98 and i did it all myself, now i really need some help finding out wat my sound card is called and how to install the drivers

    can anyone please give me some directions? im using windows xp pro

    is your soundcard built into the motherboard, or is it a peripheral on a PCI card? If so, the easiest way would be to open up your PC and take a look at it. It should say somewhere the model number, and you can easily google it and get info. If you need a drive try driverguide.com. You can also look when you computer starts up, sometimes it says there.
