speed problem with dvd decrypter

    ok recently i've been having problems with decrypter as it is not letting me rip dvds past 1.9-2.0x speed could it be a software or a hardware problem, then what should i do next?

    have you ever been to rip faster, ie have you been using decrypter before where it ripped faster, or have you purchased a new dvd drive recently ?

    its been going upwards of 10x until a couple of days ago and no i've had the same pioneer dvd burner for a year

    ok i did what the faq said and it gave me a slight improvement in speed got me up to 3x but when i checked the log when i started up decrypter it gave me three warning which can't be good....

    Possible Structure Protection Found!
    1 area has been marked as 'suspect'
    Dummy sectors will be inserted where necessary.

    you got a movie there with that it's saying it's getting around the protection. what movie is this by the way ?

    an old one called frequency, so this has nothing to do with the speed then?

    fantastic film, no newer protections on that one that i'm aware of.
    is it only this film that's giving you grief ?

    well i only get the warnings with this one but the speed factor affects all of them which now 4- 4.1x
