I have a Dell computer, but I am currently building a new system, and whenever I start/restart this computer, b4 I get the windows xp screen, I get a splash screen that has the Dell logo. I was wondering if there was anyway to remove this, wheather it is in the bios, or if it is in a file somewhere. And, if I use the same windows xp cd on my new computer, will it cause that screen to pop up at startup. Thanks in advance.

Since Dell makes its own BIOS i wouldnt imagine that you can alter them.

If its just a splash screen maybe u can delete it from ur windows folder, thats where they usually are. Use paintshop pro or similar to browse ur windows folders. If its there just delete it.

Since it is a Dell image and it pops up before the XP screen odds are it isnt a regular splash screen. (even if it was you need to resource hack the ntoskrnl.exe file to remove the pic... its not a simple straightfoward delete hehe)
