I have a whole bunch of movies with different extensions like avi, mpeg, mpg, and mov. I want to see if there's a program out there that I can use to split the video and audio so that I can just take out a certain scene and then encode it to Mpeg-4 to put on my ipod.

    Can anyone help?

PQ dvd to ipod converter supports taking out a certain scene from avi, mpeg, wmv files. Download it from http://www.goripper.com/download/pqdvd_ipod.rn.exe to try out. Load your video files, 'pause' the playback, set start point and stop point, click "record it", it is ok. But it doesnot support mov. :(
