* The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to replace the infected file (if found): Replace infected file ? answer Y (yes) and hit Enter to restore a clean file.
* A reboot may be needed to finish the cleaning process. The report can be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt

Reboot, send a fresh HjT log and contents of c:\rapport.txt

Having some problems, tried using all the tools and tips from the previous posts but I can not seem to get rid of the virus/spyware.
I use ad-aware, avgfree and zone alarm, also.
I haven't been able to get rid of this file:

I tried running the SmitFraudFix application from within safe mode and it seemed to clean something up but when I rebooted the problem was still there. Any help you can offer will be appreciated.

 

@Brons & realbrit: Same instructions for you two

First download smitfraudfix again -> http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.zip

It's just updated with that new dll.

Then delete old smitfraudfix folder from desktop and unzip
contents of new smitfraudfix.zip to desktop.

* Reboot your computer in Safe Mode (before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually)
* Open Smitfraudfix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
* Select 2 and hit Enter to delete infect files.
* You will be prompted: Do you want to clean the registry ? answer Y (yes) and hit Enter in order to remove the Desktop background and clean registry keys associated with the infection.
* The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to replace the infected file (if found): Replace infected file ? answer Y (yes) and hit Enter to restore a clean file.
* A reboot may be needed to finish the cleaning process. The report can be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt

Reboot, send a fresh HjT log and contents of c:\rapport.txt
