standard dvd playback in next-gen dvd players?

    can you tell me, if the hd-dvd and blue-ray will support today's dvd's or if it will only supports it's respective dvd's?

    Didn't someone ask this already in another thread??? The answer is yes. And probably CDs too. And could people please stop asking this?? New format disc players always support older ones unless they're not in the mainstream market anymore. That's why DVD players can play CDs. It can play DVDs. Proof is the Bluray drive in the PS3. They already said it can play normal DVDs.
