Hi, Last time i used my box was late last year, (lots going on) it flashed up with a "0" on the screen and nothing..... Box is a 7X18 VENT clone. Need to fix that first, then i would like to update the firmware. I know this has been spoken about lotes , but if some one could help that would be great. Thanks......
1.Remove the cap (c21) electrolytic near the ribbon on the psu board. 2.Boot the box , it should boot to on and function correctly , the psu will hum ignore it , just let it boot to ON ,then turn it back off. 3.Replace electrolytic cap (c11) 1000 mic @10v on the psu board , resolder (c21) thats it done. You can get caps from Maplins they can also be found on fleebay item No 110091935709. Have a search on the site, there are other posts
why dont you just update your box with the rolling firmware for clones??? IF you can do the above, sticking a cable into your SV and uploading the firmware which takes 2 mins!! saves all the messing around.............. The codes are here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/531363

Right, codes worked. Box is up and running. So, as earlier request, could some body tell me in English, how to update soft wear please.......
