    hi, i have a sv clone box, with 7x18 vents on the top, can you plz tell me wht software i need to update th box, will rs232 female to male will work to connect the box to a laptop? thanks

    guys and gals big problems here with a starview 2 box i downloaded a bad flash file i have tried all the trouble shooting with no joy(turning box off and start the down load etc etc) i am now left with 1 green dash on the right hand side of the box i am looking to try and put on starview 2 version 3.00 api may 2007 to see if this will work has any 1 got it its nit in the old firmware in eamos site help please

    Hi sc0user, i am trying to up date me sv gen, box, got null & rs232 cable, also GTromv4.00 with the gn firmware, once i press the download the bars dont move, i have tried everything i could, but no luck, will appericiate your help

    have you selected the correct com port?

    18x7 is a clone.

    right click on my computer and press properties, go to the hardware tab and go to device manager and have a look under ports.

    i am sorry tried that but cant see any ports in the device mgr, only see usb,

    mine says ports. maybe the usb to serial isn't assigned as a port which is your problem. I think you have the wrong drivers.

    Null Cable brand is Roline, cant see any brand for the RS232, bought it from ebay,
