Menu > 1570
Turn "key emu" on
Go to "set default key"
press ok
Exit to S*y sports & let it update & you`re sorted.

ok so i have just tried tuning on TW and still no channels found, if i go to maual scan my down frquency says 515.000 MHz symbol rate 6952 network scan disable, i have checked the cables and all seems fine, any suggestions?

 

have you tryed an automatic scan?and are you sure your provider is telepest?

 

yeah i have tried automatic, my provider is Vir$$n ex tele$est, i have tryed autoscan on all providers on the box all come up with nothing, the cable is fine ive checked and double checked, the LCD display shows as 'on' all the time, is this correct?, ive made sure the EMU is on when i scan. is their anything else i can try, have you heared of this problem before? im gonna open her up now and just check that their s nothing wrong with the cable input socket.

 

by the way, my box has a 2 pin plug, and i also noticed reading on another thread that when downloading you dont see the percentage on the lcd display, just the green bars, however i saw the percentage figures, does any of this actually mean i have a clone?

 

when you flashed did you wait for the little pop up box to appear that say's download complete?can you tell me what it says in system info?

 

i waited till it said download finished on pc, i have just tryed again automatic scan, and it has picked up 17 channels none of which have a meaningfull description, when its finished the scan i go to the channels and it comes up no signal!? i have looked in system iformation and shows the version i loaded 257ee. tobe fair i have no idea whats going on but as it happens, when i recieved the box (yesterday) and pluged it in it only had what looked like these 17 channels tuned. im beginning to think thats why hes sold it, cos he cant get anymore! is their anything else i can try or shall i putthe box back on ebay as not working!!

sorry for late reply, i was up till about 2.am this morning messing about with it, its doing exactly the same. if you want a bargain (i think) check out ebay!

But let me say your help was first class, and i thank you for that. ive got a digivox on the way though so i may be back!!!

 

A few questions for you bibbaboo;

1) Is the sv plugged into the main feed in to your house, or after a splitter?

2) When you tried your mates box, did you actually see the channels?

3) Can you take your box over to your mates house and try to scan there?

Could be down to a weak signal in your house/area. If it does scan and pickup all the channels, just bring it home and plug it in, same as you did with your mates box.

Yes when i borrowed my mates eurovox, i just plugged it in and all the channels came up straight away, flicked through them all and they were all fine picture and sound wise, perfect.
the connection comes in straight off the feed,no splitter. i will try another scan at my mates house. i should be able to let you know tommorow.

I did mention at the top of this thread that i subscribe to virgin broadband only! I should still be able to 'scan' for channels right? if i can see them once their are tuned i should be able to scan for them yeah?

Just a thought.

Yes, if you are on cable broadband from VM, then you are correct in your assumption, that is all you require.

 

I havnt had time to check round mates house just yet, however i have recently took delivery of a digivox, and it quite simply plugged and played (nearly) works perfectly

 

Pleased for you, but if the Eurovox worked perfectly why did't you get one of those, only joking - if your happy with it then great.
