Starview 2 & 3 missing channels

Hi,

some of yea may have seen my other thread. I decided to make a new one as although most of the problems were resolved in the other thread, there are still a couple of missing channels.

The Starview 2 is running 4.50. The Starview 3 is running 7.01

both boxes are missing SETANTA SPORTS 1, SKY PREMIER, SKY PREMIER +1 & SKY MODERN.

I have tried factory reset and rescan, I have tried different firmware. There are no splitters on the line. The boxes are working perfectly for all other channels.

Any ideas amigos ?

 

Do a manual scan on 307.000.

 

Down Frequency 307.000 yeah ? and leave the rest as they are ?

"0 programs found"

Its annoying as I used to be able to get all of these channels.

 

Try 307.250.

 

"0 programs found"

I'm in Ireland and on NTL, dunno if that makes a difference.

 

I have asked someone from your area and the channels you are missing are on the original freqs I gave you in the first place, 307.000.

Maybe a cable fault or signal issue, could you try the box at a friends house? maybe an idea to try a signal booster also.

 

If I scanned it at a friends house and the channels showed up, would they still come through if I brought it home to my house ?

Ive never heard of a signal booster. Thanks for the help thus far amigo

 

Bentonio, i see by your original post that you have 701 firmware should that not read 709?

and see if it makes a difference, also go to the main room in your gaff were the original TV input is and scan from there as that is normally the strongest signal in your gaff!
try that and get back!!

 

Hi kevin here can anyone tell me which loader i need for the star-iew 2 please, if you can help i would be grateful. have browsed the library and can see star-iew 1 and the b-x pvr but not sure which loader is correct one to flash the box.

Ben... try what I suggested, I am heading out for a bit, but will be back after 7 ish if your still stuck!!!

 

I have already tried scanning from both rooms in the house and get the same results. Cheers for the help though Des.

 

Anyone have any ideas of what to do ? Would a booster help ? Are they easy to install ?

Its strange how you had them before and now you havent, Have you tried it in a mates gaff? scan it there if its on there then bring it home, also have a look at the end of your channels they might be there only numbered...

 

My mate bought a SV3 from the same site as me at the same time as me and his is working perfect...all the channels are up and running. I will try bring mine to his house and tune it BUT, anytime I have done that before it hasnt worked. It usually needs to be re-tuned once I get home as none of the channels show up.
