starview 2 "the box" set up help

anybody know what the master password for starview 2 the box is? a friend of mine is having problems and when he is goin to factory reset, 0000 is not working, he says he didnt change the p/word but someone must have i guess, thanx

Turn box off at the back for a minute and turn back on
Select English > Installation
Choose Provider etc
Automatic Scan
Press OK
Channels found
Exit

Press Menu then 1570
Turn EMU key ON

Exit , exit , exit

 

hi guys in limerick, got the box-t DVB-T on yday, cant get it to work. scans and finds nothing, when i get into the secret menu it has all the codes as per printed out on the threads on this site, only thing is it seems to be stuck on the one when i go into the menu, or is it a case that it shows you all the codes and the box goes through them all? either way the box picks up nothing. there doesnt seem to be an option to pick provider anywhere, should there be?
have other boxes workin in the house no bother, legit ones that is.
any ideas?

Press Menu > System Information and tell us what the API is please


You should have the B0x T V1 api loaded look in menu and system info. You will find the loader and firmware in Eamos Library at the end of my post

Hi All - I flashed my genuine s***v**w box to-day with what I think is the correct flash. Can anyone tell me what the problem is?. After I flashed and restarted the box I had a flashing green line go across the screen then 1 solid green line. I flashed with thebox_ireland_h20070705_450eE_api. If this is not the correct flash for ireland can someone post as to where I can find it, also I tried flashing with earlier versions and I keep getting flash failed. If I connect to N*l as it and turn on it just says "the BOX"....

thebox_ireland_h20070705_450eE_api ... is only for the Starvi*w 2 "THE B0X"

If you have the first Starvi*w and its a genuine , then flash with v4.00

 

Version 4.50 is for "The Box" and not a Starview 1 if you have a genuine SV1 just flash version 4 to it.

Excuse my ignorance but looking at pictures I found on this site it looks like it is a genuine starview box (not sure if it is starview 1 0r 2) however when I connect same to n*l and tv it says "The Box" and it just stays on this screen. When I press menu or info on the remote nothing happens.... so, do I have starv**w 1, 2 or the Box?. once again excuse my ignorance...

 

If you look at the front of it over the display screen it will either say "Starvi*w" or "THE B0X"

I think you have a Starvi*w and flash it with THE BOX firmware , you will need to reflash with V4.00 if its a genuine

 

Hi everyone,
Hope you can help.
I've a brand new box(it says "THE BOX" on the front.I cannot get it to unscramble channels.I've tried Menu 1570 & Parental Control-Info-2004 and still no joy.I have what the salesperson in Maplins is a Null Modem Cable and it connects to the box and to The PC through a USB adapter which is installed as COMM4.
When I try to download .bin file to box I get a "Flash Update Failed" box.
Can anyone help.
P.S. I'm a novice so basic instructions would be appreciated.

What firmware version are you flashing it with?
