Yes you need to after flashing with 4.54, (I presume its a new box with no previous firmware), and you need to use Gtromloader version 4.03.
Eamos FTA Library is down at the moment, so I have linked both the Gtromloader and logo files here: http://www.mediafire.com/?39mbgrcoygj http://www.mediafire.com/?4sbtxgtz5oj
I've downloaded files onto my computer and tried to send to box but still getting flash fail box.Have box on standby showing clock. Is this correct??
Yes, thats correct, in system info does it say 4.54 as this would indicate that it has at least been flashed with 4.54 and that you have the correct leads.
Are these the two leads you have, as you may have been given a straight through null modem lead in Maplins: Null modem http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?criteria=L71BT&DOY=2m6 USB Adapter http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?Modu...erial Adaptor
Sorry to butt in am looking for channel dump files for "The Box" PVR tried to use the starview bin files but they dont like " the box" TIA
Hi guys, I've been using the star view 2 "The Box" for the last few weeks. I was trying to make some configuration changes to the channel list etc. yesterday and ended up doing a factory restore. Stupid idea I now know but I have to try and recover. I had to do a rescan of all the channels and when I did this all of them were scrambled. Does anyone know of a reason for this? Will I need to re-install the software on the box? Or is there some other way to get over this? When I set up the box first it worked without any hassle after I did a scan for channels. Cheers, Martin
