    Hi,

I've just bought one of these and wondered if anyone could answer this.

Can TW/Virgin detect the box connected to their system?

    If not why?

    and
what do TW/Virgin see when the box is connected, is it just an open line?

    Thanks

VM cannot detect the Starview because it does NOT have a talkback facility. It is completely invisible to the network.

    Thank you for the help,

I'm sure I'll be back on with more questions as I try to get the thing to work.

    Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to make favourites I can get in to the favourites menu but not add them. I'm probably missing something simple as I don't have an instuction manual.

A full instruction manual can be found in the link at the end of my post marked Eamos FTA Library. You will find it in the Starview folder, entiltled Starview Guide PDF.

are u using N*L as your provider when u autoscan ?
I know u wrer told it was plug and play, but maybe its not
check if you have firmware on it !
menu then system information will tell u what is on it !

A channel bin file is a file which has all the channels set up on it already, it saves time sorting out favourites etc..
but if you are new to all this i suggest u do it the normal way as it will only take 20 mins or so and will be less hassle for u !
