hi there is no firmware for the sv pvr either yet unless im blind

 

Thats right Johnny theres no fix either for the SV PVR

 

Thanks all for the feedback concerning the sv1. I know there are people working hard behind the scenes as updated software just doesn't happen. I would just like to say thanks for 2 years of updates for the SV1 but I think it may have come time to upgrade to the sv4.
For the people in the know. Is that the best box out at the moment?

 

Afternoon Malic, I had the same problem with my son lap top could not down load from the usb hub using the USB-Serial adaptor through a serial 9 pin to 9pin cable. Found no “com ports” in manager etc, down load drivers needed from the net.
By the way a small point, flashing with the short Fix for the sv2 then using the 5.54 – 802 fix you loss the text services on bbc 1 + itv.

Good Afternoon vickhead, there is another out now and it is in Eamo's FTA Library at the bottom of my post, it is 4.55, just flash that straight on over what you have on now, I have played about with it both ways/versions and the 4.55 is much simpler and the text is working on the 4.55. just checked both stations. You will find it in The Box Folder, then Firmware Folder and there it is at the top click in there and download, the Loader is included and Instructions. And in System Information it is APIver 4.55e_E 4th DEC 2008.

 

Good news for sv1 users. I know there is no autoroll software out yet but I have managed to get mine working with manual code imput. However I had to put the 01 numbers in 1st then save, then 00 numbers. Its working for the moment.

Got codes from another reliable forum site.

 

I have been putting codes in manually for a long time, the sv1 as never been updated, I obtain the codes by phone from my bother who as the sv2. I put them in normal 00 then 01

 

I think the majority of members on AD who have a Starview 1, has been doing what vickhead's been doing john to be honest, since they went down.

Wondering if anyone can help..

Have flashed a couple of The Box 3 Supers without problem.

But have another one that i'm having trouble with...

The flash update seems to keep to random points 28%, 57%, 39% etc but never manages to complete.. any idea??
