Starview 3 The Box Super - Flash Update fail...

Hi, I sorted a couple of St*rview The Box Super but one I'm trying to fix now has the extra outputs on the back. Do you know how I can fix that?

 

You have no option but to do it same way as you have done the others, it is the same box, but a later batch, whether it is a clone or not, is anyones guess, but there certainly is no clonesafe firmware for it.

 

Thanks malci, just a while after I had posted that the box kicked in and started working. Thanks for your help. Now, my brother has a St*rview 1 clone. Can this be fixed?

I have the starview 3 box - flashed it when I got it as you guys instruced. Now its doing the same thing as other peoples - updating and nothing happening. Do I need to flash it again on the pc? Problem is it wont connect to my laptop so I need to find a different machine to do it on - any other way I can get it to update? thanks

Help please, I am looking for advice on fixing a "No Sound" problem. I have updated a starview with the new software CryptStar-v1.5 which was successfull as i can now see all my channels. However there is no sound on any of the channels. I am in Dublin on N*L if that helps.

check your scart lead is firmly fixed at both ends.

Big thanks to the afterdawn users, As a newbie i studied the forums read the post and with a little help from malci i managed to flash my own box super with no probems at all . big thanks to celtic71 scoucer and da rest of yous for the exellent posts without them i would have been still searching for the answers , keep up the good work. cheers

 

if only everyone else could do what you did ( read the posts) it would be much easier for us LOL..so well done and happy christmas!!

 

hiya i have wrote in b4... cannot seem to flash with new firmware, but do have 8.00e_exe boot ver 8.0 june 08 on me starview the super box, do i definately need to update the firmware on this??? or will i have to keep typing in the codes... i have tried everything i can think of to get me box working.

 

Unless you want to keep manually entering the keys, then yes you need to update the b0x.
The 8[1].02 is what you need.

Yep, would agree 100% Des lol, but it would be to easy!! then LOL only joking, you know it is not going to happen. And eire08, as previously said to you, in you know what, well done and pleased for you, and your clone fears are now laid to rest as well LOL now you take care and enjoy.

hello ...cheers for the reply... i have the driver disc for the usb serial connector, which has worked always in the past, but just having the trouble. just keeps saying flash driver failed, an stays on 0% any ideas

 

Des, can you help please. I have a starview 1 box which I updated with the latest fix and was working perfectly. Then on Christmas Eve when I switched the box on it just says 'bad or scrambled channel' on all except terrestrial tv. I have tried to put firmware on again but no joy. I also have a starview 3 box which I updated and is working fine, but on the same day as my starview 1 went down, when I first switched on, this box started to do 'data updating' and seemed to stick at first but then kicked in and is ok. Any ideas on what I can do with my Starview 1 box?? Thanks
