There is a fix out for the UK, if you have the Box Super!

If it say's the box super on the front then it is the Starview 3, and the fix can be got in Eamo' FTA Library, also at the link below, and could anyone requesting information about updates for any other box's please keep checking the thread below, first post.

    No joy :-(
Not sure i have the right provider set so i went through them all NTHEll, Ex C$W and TeleBest (I'm in Leeds).

Getting V. fed up now, no SSports so had to watch Histon embarrasse us.

    Anybody had any joy?

Well why don't you try it, take a note of your key's if you like and then go into Cas System Menu and press Set Default Key and exit out to encrypted channel and see if it updates, if it does not then you have definately picked up the wrong file, because it is working very well, so please try it.

Evening HiTeck mate, it's been a little hectic, again - some times gets you down what do you say, it is nice to have a bit of postive feedback, makes a hell of a change, instead of certain individuals.

malci, anyone who has been using the site for the last year really appreciate the work you guys do to keep our lifes running smooothly. What sometimes happens is people give out the site address to others and because they just are not that clued up or are just lazy they just go on and ask for things not permitted. I would hope with the posts desb, creaky etc have put on that they now understand that they will have to wait for new firmware and that by getting a fix for the box super so quick that the others will follow soon. So a message to everyone BE PATIENT.

I don't think people are necessarily telling people about the forum. If you google "Starview not working" AfterDawn is the first thing that comes up. Most people do not use forums and have no support from their seller. So when the box goes off they panic. When my 1st Starview stopped working I was considering buying another one. I did not know it just needed an update.

    Hello all.

I'm curious to know if an update for the earlier boxes is likely to become available. I'm guessing that the update for the newer boxes (The box and The Box Super) wouldn't work on the Starview 1 box for example.
There must be a lot of people out there with the older box who may not get updated firmware.
    Any comments would be appreciated.
Also there's been some local scaremongering about the cable companies disabling the starviews remotely by sending something down the cables. (I can't see it myself) Anyone know if that's at all likely or is it a bit too James Bondish to be realistic?
    Cheers.
