Starview 3 The Box Super - Flash Update fail...

hi roger. before anyone bites your head off i'll tell you. all the boxes have different firmware. so far there is only new firmware for SV3. im sure there will be updates for the other boxes soon. just keep checking.

Hi, I'm all new to this so hoping that everyone will be good enough to help, I have the starview 3 original (not clone) and now need to update the new software.

Firstly the RS232 which I got with the box will not connect to my laptop (theres no connection of this type), so was wondering if anyone can tell me whether I can connect this via an RS232 to USB cable instead??

Also can someone give me any basic info or paste a link as to how to upload the software as don't want to break the box??

Rodger as craig said its each box to its own fix... and in your case we are still waitng for the fix!!

I have been trying to flash the new file, but getting error. I have original box. I open the file and click on download but then get the error message flash update failed. I am using the following cable, please let me know if this can be used:

I did a factory reset, then put the box on standby and then tried flashing, but got the error message. Will appreciate help.

Before I start trying to download new firmware and try to learn what to do next I have a s/v that says The Box on front which f/ware do I use.At the momet it says ap1ver4.51E-e Boot version 7. 9July07 Any help appreciated

 

Yeah I am in Ireland. Seems to be working. Don't know about updating automatically as N*L don't seem to be changing their codes.

 

Hi Guys I downloaded fireware for st--1 from a well know bar but it only opens with vlc media file, which is no good to download. anyone with the same trouble.

Vic I wouldn t go downloading anything from sites that dont represent Afteredawn.. all downloads we advise you to try are under Eamos library and have been tried and tested prior to posting!!

 

Hi could someone help me.I have downloaded the new file for the star 3 box super, it has downloaded successfully and has the version required in the system info page.
When i come to do the rescan it picks the channels and the emu is on but it still has scrambled channels no updates start.
