well it's a cable issue then. when you press download it should start. turn off the box at the back and press download and then turn it on and see if it starts.

 

iv read in a few threads people having problems with vista...it might be worth trying it on a widows xp if you can...also if you're doing it on a lappy have you made sure that your com ports are matching up and have you installed your usb adaptor?

 

snap i asked a pc tech about flashing with a laptop with usb and vista and he laughed and he said find someone with a pc with serial port and null modem cable job done in 5 mins!

 

yeah its mad...i think that vista has too many bells and whistles!lol

 

so it wont work cuz i got pissin vista on me laptop?

well the only thing i can suggest is find a mate with XP and try it on his/hers.. Dont give up! LOL

Hey everyone!

Yet again I come running ye're way for help.

I have The Box - it was working perfectly until a few weeks ago when all of a sudden 'Bad or Scrambled channel' appeared on all the channels. When I brought up the list of channels the dollar sign was beside each channel. I checked that the EMU was on - it was but the problem still persists. I hit factory settings and uploaded all the channels again - but same problem.

Anyone have any ideas?

go into the menu, 1570 and press set default key and then exit out and wait for an update.

hi

a few weeks back i had a problem with my box super i couldent get any channels it said bad channel or sarmmbled

ive tried updating it but nothing works its stays on 0% and ive tried goin into the main menu and pressing 1570 but no menu or anything pops up??

just wondered if anyone could help me cuz i really dont no what to do ive run out of things to try lol

Dan first Press Menu > System Information and tell us what the API is please

Second , are you using a laptop or PC ?

Also are you sure you have the correct NULL MODEM CABLE ?

 

my API is 7.08e

and im using a laptop with vista

also i am using the null cable with a nother cable with connects the the null cable and then has a usb at the other end wich connects to my laptop via usb

its just i dont get any music or movie and anything like that and the secret menu thing dont pop up wen i press them numbers??

u only have a freeview box with 1 e in vers,u need ee to be able to access emu,so it needs to be updated/flashed.as i hate usb and vista celtic will put u right [ i hope lol ]

 

oooh right ok atleast ive got somewere lol

Your best bet would be to go to the link provided below, with regards to updating, courtesy Celtic - read all down the page and make sure that your Adaptor is correctly installed and assigned to same COM port as the loader - I am aware that a lot of people seem to have problems with Vista, but go here and I hope it helps you >>>>>

i now says uplaod failed does the box have to be on standby,turned on or on a certain channel? also do i click upload or download and wat bin file do i need???

 

The box has to be on standby okay, and the firmware is up to you really, what are you trying to put on at the minute.
