If the sellers have any sense then yes you will get it with FTA firmware only, and you will have to flash it yourself with the firmware available in Eam's FTA Library. As regards sellers again you will have to make your own mind up, quite a few on the forum do think skywonder is okay, so just google it and check, but bear in mind that the Starview 4 USB is out now and there are many clones of the previous models.

 

thanx for that,so i would definetley need to flash the box with one of the software versions? shouldnt the software be already included as was with the original sv?

 

Just told you, yes you will have to flash it yourself, and as scOuser has said read the guide by Celtic, click on the link marked Starview at the bottom. Things have moved on a little since then lol.

Yes it will but you can get all the information and firmware from Eamo's FTA Library, and Celtics guide of course.

 

ok malci,just 1 more thing,if sv1 ever goes off do you think they will release a new software update? thans for advice.

my prblem is with the super t 3. I have downloaded and scanned ,set up many of them for others with no problem until now.
I am getting all channels found but it is not doing the inital data update. emu on. signal excellent. Also the codes keep changing. If i maunally put them in. It makes no difference . Still on 0%. Any ideas please

 

This is a common problem and you will find the answer using the search facility at the top of the page,press menu 1570 press ok on the set default key exit to a premier station and see if it updates,if it dosn't go up or down a station and wait a while,if it still dosn't update turn off the box for a minute then repeat the process.

 

Menu > 1570
Go to Set default key, Press ok
exit to s&y sports & let it update.
If nothing happens, turn the b0x off at the back for about 20 secs & set default, S&y sports again.
