Quite correct, suspension was up on the 5th LOL, so look out and be wary, no winding up , be ever so PC. I know you will Des seen your reply to EV-M problems.

 

hi, slightly off topic but i was wanting to know the difference between a normal starview3 super box and a clone. Do the cloned boxes still get all the channels etc. looking to buy one of these boxes and am a bit scared that i will get a clone.

It all depends where you buy the b0x.
Its getting harder to spot cloned sv3`s, but the good news is theres no clone killing firmware out for the sv3.

Can anyone help?? I'm in Clonmel area, with Chor*s Digital (Cable not MMDS). I have a Box Super which I have tested on Nthell Cable in Dublin and works perfect but I cannot get it to find any programs no matter what i try. All connections perfect and my Digital is perfect, box just isn't picking up a signal( level and quality at zero in manual scan, auto scan no use either??. Can't be a flash prob if workin in Dublin?? Very close to binning it!!

 

You need to check that you have the live feed into the cable input socket, and that you choose Ch*r*s, if that definately is your provider and definate;y digital. (might sound silly, but it has happened before)!!, if still no joy, then is there anyone close by that will let you try it out on their feed, will be able to rule out one thing or other. And you are right it is not a flash problem, if it worked their then unless the box has been damaged (tuner wise) then it should work there.

 

Will try it at a friends place and see if there's any change out of it! Yeah def Chor*s and defo digital. Might go Eurov*x if no joy, Box super goin cheap!!!

I live in the liverpool area and use the box super which has been working perfectly for the last few months (thanks to this site.) This morning though there has been a data update, and it updates past 100% and then fails. I can view freeview channels but nothing else. I am running version 7.09 and my friend down the road is on version 8.0 with the same problem.

Anyone hear any news or got any advice for me?

yep you are right mate it's a nationwide problem, I have had people ringing me from all over the place asking me about a fix, i'm sure it will not be very long before a firmware update is posted so guy's hold fire for a while

 

how long will it take approx for a solution

 

It's impossible to answer that at the moment, when it gets sorted everyone will be aware, so don't worry and have patience.
