starview 4 the box super usb few channels have gone off how to fix

no in the uk they have big green boxes on the road somewhere and all hooked into that much like the telecom silver boxes on the roads

 

he he i know ya are in uk, we dont have the boxes working anymore over here
i was just asking the way cable is setup over there is it not the same as here
yes we have the green metal box on the road in some parts,
but outside our houses/flats there is usualy a greysilver metal box small, either above your house or neighbour's that your cable connects into from your house (it screws in to it) and possibaly 1 or 2 neighbours maybe connected aswell depends on how close house/flat/apt are apart

Nope it is not that way over here, each subscriber has an individual BROWN box - usually at the front of the house (fed by cable underground), no more than 2ft. off the ground and as E45 has stated all the connections go to a localised Green Box.

 

where all the connections and disconnection take place

 

i have got starview bo and last night i have lost quite a lot of channels including movie channels and some discovery channels ,have rebooted from scratch but are not coming back on .can you please help!!!!!

 

Same problem, this may be the dreaded end I feel. Keep checking rescan in a few days

hi there,the other day my brother in law came round with his starview 3 and all the channels came through, then went and bought a starview 4 as 3 was not available but i am having no joy getting the channel,will they ever work or have i just wasted 60 quid thanks

 

yep i think you have wasted 60 as the new boxes that work are the "starview.6" or the "kryptview a780" both need broadband aswell to work,
did you flash the box!!!

 

i didnt flash the box i got some software of the net and put that on via a memory stick,but thats all i have done

you could try getting back on to the chap that gave/sold it to ya, and say it was the starview.6 you were ment to get,!!!
but i doubt he will go for it (no harm in trying though)

also there is the ""starview.6"" ""starview hd combo"" or the ""kryptview a780""

 

My sv4 has gone off, but I thought I'd still receive free channels like itv2 etc? I only get bbc1,2,itv,4 and 5

 

They are your usual freeview channels if you dont have cable!YES?
