starview 4 the box super usb few channels have gone off how to fix

Yes i have now got both cables but only have to use the top one now as this goes right into the back of the computer now.

MAKE SURE YOUR CABLE IS PLUGGED INTO THE PC DOING THIS BELOW

ok first go to start go to my computer righ click and go to properties

go to hardware tab >> device manager go to ports ( COM & LPT )

click on the little + sign and find com port 1 or what ever com port number it says remember the number Communications Port

click on it to highlight it then right click it go to properties then look for port setting tab on top

click that i there you will see

bits per second set this to ======= 115200

data bits ========= 8

parity ============ None

stop bits ========= 1

flow control ====== None

then go to advance button and press ok

next setting in there is

tick the top option MAKE SURE THIS IS TICKED

receiver buffer ======== High (14)

Transmit buffer ======== High (16)

com port number use the tab on the side and change it to 1 if it says in use ignore it and force it to use this

MAKE SURE WHEN YOU DO THESE SETTING YOU PRESS OK ON THE RIGHT TO SAVE ON FIRST BOX

THEN OK ON THE NEXT BOX AS WELL THIS MUST BE DONE

THEN GO BACK INTO THE DEVICE MANAGER AND CHECK YOUR SETTING TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE CORRECT

hi i am all new to this if i buy a kryptview a780 box from skywonder will i then have to get it chipped or will it already be done thanks

 

you will have to flash the box with the software

you will need 1 of these cables

 

you will have to put the software on it yourself no matter where you get it only comes with FTA software installed

anything you need to know is at the bottom of my signiture below

 

Hey E45 anothe quick question not sure of as still waiting for the box to arrive. can the sofware be uploaded to the box with windows 7 as thats what my pc is running and i looked in the device manager and thier are no ports or settings for ports! hopefully i wont need them i will however need to use the usb adaptor to upload which i have also brought and am waiting for delivery. thanx for all your help.

 

it can m8 but i recommend xp for it borrow a pc with xp on it or bring the box to work or somit ya be better in the long run at least it does the job right and no messing about

I followed these steps to the letter and still coming up with downloading is not requested.

Its as if the computers dont want to reconise the box for some reason.

I am sorry for giving yous a headache but my head is thumping now

When i did try the installing last night i went onto the extras and it gave me traffic reports so i thing even the eithernet cable is working.

But every channel is coming up with Scramble or no video so defo not flashed properly yet.

Dont know what else to try as i have followed all the instructions to the letter from the start and still getting the same result for some reason.

Hope yous still have a few tricks up your sleves

when you open the loader and you click on the download button like below


do you then get this picture below ?? and you click on the open button yes ??


then you see the next picture below and you browse to where you have the 780 file yes ?? do you see the file then in the box just like below but with different date ?? you highlight it and then press the open button below it


you should then see this picture below with the file date on it do you get that ??


now with your box off at the switch on the backof the box and you have all above done you press the start andswitch the box on at the back with the switch again

ALSO WHERE DID YOU GET THE NULL MODEM CABLE FROM NOT THE USB ONE ??? WAS IT MAPLINS ???

 

No i got the Null modem cable with the box from Mycablebox.co.uk

Like i said it looks like the computers dont recongnise the box as at no part on either computer does it say anything about a780 apart from the file i am trying to download

Will do that again but thing its going to say download is not requested will let you know in a few mins

m8 to be honest if you cannot get it sorted with what i have given you ya better of selling the box or get someone else to do it for you or get a sub

Not what i wanted to hear but if theres nothing else to try looks like iv'e just wasted my £149

Will keep looking incase there is a solution as i am sure it must be something silly iv'e not done but like i said i have followed everything to the letter.

this >>>>> Read REQ fail <<<<<<<<<< says to me you do not have the file downloaded to your pc for you to use the loader to load it to the box

req fail ======== NO file on loader

 

does the file he downloaded have to be opened with winzip/winrar!!

 

nope all files are open
he is just not loading it on to the loader

 

i see
when he d.loads the file he should just save to desktop
then upload to the loader from there!

either way he has not lost out, if he cant sort it he can always sell and get his money back

 

yes excatly but this is down to person error best advice get someone to do if you cant do it yourself 10 min job has been turned into nearly 3 days
