thanks mate, managed to download at work. Now box is stuck with problem. Its stuck on 8882 on the display. This is highlighted on another forum titled starview 4 brick. any help????? aarrrgggghhh
Does anyone have any idea when there might be a new version of the firmware that might allow the USB Starview boxes to work outside of Dublin in Leinster ? Thanks
I dont get you!! what new firmware are you looking for?? can you press menu then system info and tell us what it says, then we will point you in the right direction!!
I have loaded the v1.02 beta and the box will not find any channels in Kildare with Ch**S but works fine in Dublin with NThell. I recall Fergus stating that this was a problem that needed new firmware to sort out. Don't have access to the box at the moment but will send details you ask for later. Earlier version of the box works fine so no signal or connection problems.
Just tried with version 1.01 and get same result as per my message of 20 September above. System info with 1.01 shows : Model ID - C500 S/W version - 1.01 Beta Boot version b.11 Date Sep 08 2008 Scouser - definitely cable and not MMDS
