Starview6 working perfectly. Had it for over a week now. The only drawback being that it can slow normal broadband down occassionally. Small price to pay for having all channels back though!

people also have to remember (after reading the thread about cardsharing being busted in greece) that the starview 6 is run something slimier as it all on a public server so if they get busted your ip and mac address will be stored .
    just one thing to remember.

if people can they be better off sharing between friends .

Just to clear up some confusion....this is the ONLY reliable method for getting your channels back after the Nagra 3 switchover for Starview boxes.

I can confirm this method worked fine for me and is updateable for any changes made in the future:

Where the box (which ever version you have) displays the make/model take some tipex and cover completely until no remains of the make/model can be seen.

Using either a powerful hair dryer or blowtorch, dry the previously tipexed area.

Using a felt tip pen write over the area "Starview 7" (as everyone knows the starview 6 isn't compatible with Nagra 3).

For future updates repeat the process with which ever fictional working version of starview is currently unavailable.

***IMPORTANT PART TO GET THE CHANNELS***
position your tv by a window adjacent to someone who has on the channel you desire watching and punch a hole through it so you can easily see their tv either with the naked eye or a telescope. Next, open the window and take a large horn and stick it in your ear pointing the larger end towards their tv.

Finally.....ENJOY!!!!! YOUR CHEAP AND YOU KNOW YOU ARE!!!!!

Likewise, my MMDS continues to live on for a bit longer anyway. As with you I have been putting some effort into the next stage of development and am in the process of sorting that. I was convinced that it should be possible to share a Nagra card as you can share an NDS card but after some of the comments here from senior members it would seem that this is currently not possible. Yet it is confusing when you have the odd post to say my starview (assuming its a starview MMDS/cable box) is working again. By all accounts this shouldn't be possible but if it was a starview satellite box it is understandable. I guess this must be the case

Mooley, how is the box-t different. its a terrestrial tuner. correct me if i'm wrong but sharing would seem to be an issue on -t or -c boxes no matter what the name of the box is. What has interested me all along is the fact that -s sharing has been a reality for some time now. why is it that -t and -c sharing (which would be behind the times of -s in terms of counter measures) is not possible. Its just a question I'm throwing out there. I don't want responses from Theman111/AWSAT or the likes on this as I wouldn't believe a word they say

fuerte mentioned his is working and I was saying he must have a Box T.
About the concept of sharing as you are talking about I have never said it wouldn't work, I actually believe it would work through same principles as sharing any other type ie. NDS etc. I have not seen it in action myself though. Here is not the place to talk about that though as I reckon they would not like it at all. And I would find it very risky to use as Ireland is not really that big a place if they wanted to catch end-users.

well i do and don't take your point. My standpoint has been that that there are totally legitimate systems out there that allow you to share within your own house. I already posted such a system from Motorola on this forum some time back. Now this is my take on things and you don't have to agree. But lets take the idea that from a legal standpoint it is not illegal to share within your household (which is my view) and seems to be backed up by the technologies supplied by accredited vendors. What you are doing is breaking your agreement with your local TV supplier which says you cannot use their cards in any other box other than their box. So as such if you get caught, you have broken their rules and you get disconnected. Thats absolutely fair and no argument. But my argument has always been that those are the local tv providers rules. You will not be required to stand up in court to defend your actions. You will simply be disconnected and in truth the liklehood of this happening is virtually nil. So I don't see the issue of being able to discuss multiroom sharing a card on this forum (not illegal) as compared to externally sharing a card (which is illegal and there is legislation in place). E45 has supplied insight into this but I hope he would agree that with multiroom sharing, all you are doing is breaking your local providers agreemnet

I would mostly agree with you on all that mate. You know yourself though, certain providers are a law unto themselves.

Soory Mooley, I didn't backpedal on what you had originally said, that Fuerte had a working conection and you figured a Box-T (which it could be). I also have a working connection with a Dreambox DVB-T but this is not sharing, this is a keys associated thing and will die when Nagra3 comes to chokus in my area. That is the setup that fuerte also has at the moment. it is not a sharing solution.
