And, unless they are insane, I doubt they will. Private network amongst TRUSTED FRIENDS AND/OR FAMILY is the ONLY way to go about it (relatively) safely. I posted some info elsewhere with regards to Satellite. I'd imagine a similar cable based set up would work as well.

    well yes and probably no
as when we were getting our box changed
the tech asked us did we want our recordings! But he also said it was "time consuming" to transfare to other box,
now i dont know if he could have done it to a usb/hard-drive ect.. and if so would it be done any quicker.

    Hi Guys/Gals,

To cut a long story short i was wondering could someone answer me a question, i would be so greatful.

    Q. I live in Ireland, my broadband(15mbs)/cable provider is UP....C . I want to buy a SV6, will i be able to get channels like <skysp*rts 1,2,3,4 / skym*vies etc.> through a lan connection ? With out paying any more money than for the box itself. If so will it last for long before the box becomes obsolete? Would i be better getting a different box?

I know these types of questions are ask all the time and your prob sick of answering them, but if you could spare a minute i would be very greatful, i'm just a student so dont got too much money for wasting.

    Thanks again,
    Skymacfly.
