StarView - 6 Lan IRL & UK Files 9/5/10

    no box should be connected by splitter
    but some areas do have a good signal that you will not have a problem if you split
    anyway if you live in a poor signal area you can always buy a electric plug in booster box

    also if your old sv works via splitter your new box should work the same way and dont forget the broadband

    hi guys can any1 tell me where i can find the firmware for starview 6, have got the starview 6 yet, just waiting on it coming but can any1 tell me if its anygd...cheers

    Hi Guys have got my starview 6 up & running... as im in the uk i installed Carling 1.00 i have followed info all channels seem to be there (266) left it on FTA (sky movies) it seem to unscrambled them... i start click though the channel... but some still come up scrambles...

    I seem to have Sky 1 2 3 + Sky Movies & so on... but channel like G.O.L.D & MTV come up scramble.. it seem to be random channel...

    any ideas guys.... thanX

    probably just a small issue with the server
    you will know if anybody else posts the same thing
    we had it a couple of weeks ago in dublin

    Hooter007 - all channels are back.... also have sound & nice colours on the HD channels as well..... all good in the hood.... ;)

    does the starview 6 have to be connected to broadband, just got it today and having a wee bit of trouble setting it up..any help would be great

    yes 24/7 has to be connected and you also have to load the software for it as well

    can i connect it to a router or does it have to go straight into my broadband box sorry a bit new to this had a starview 4 was alot easier lol

    yes you can connect to your router (lan cable)

    connected it to my router and followed clairb's guide some channels scrambled...HELP!...lol

    yes they should all unscramble by later or tomorrow

    then again when i done both these bits it wouldnt work
    Menu - Option -networks - net application - select type “Ustream(UK) or Istream(Irealnd) - ok

    once the scan has finished go to menu then highlight accessory and on the remote press the numbers "8989"
    you will then see "K*yedit" appear on the right hand side, go to it and press ok and just check that auto update is on if its off just turn it on.

    what do you mean when you say it would'nt work
    select ustream for uk
    and make sure every thing is on in emulator
    also osd setup make sure region is on uk aswell

    I take it you flashed the box firstly and then done a scan on the box for your chans and then plugged into your router? as per the guides
