    Hi,
Ok, I thought I'd got my SV6 box set up correctly, as I'm managing to get all channels fine. However, after looking through some posts, I'm wandering if the way I've set it all up is actually right, in the sense that I have

    1. Disconnected Original Provider Box Totally
    2. Used Cable from back of Original Providers Box, & Plugged into SV6 Box
    3. Loaded Firmware via USB Stick, and applied the "8989" code via remote (at which you see *Emu" on right hand side, and not the "K"y edit as some mention.

Now where I am getting lost is with the LAN side of things, as it seems as though (reading from comments above atleast) that people are connecting to uStream in order to view channels via a live stream (or am I just going totally off me head and getting it all wrong lol).
The only other thing I was stuck with was on how the actual LAN would work? Would I be correct in saying that it would be safe to use the ethernet cable which is in my exsisting providers modem, and plug that directly into the back of the SV6 Box rather then a PC which is how I would usually connect to the internet? or is there more to it then just that?

Any help would be greatfully appreciated :)

    hi.

has anyone got starview 6 box working? i follow clairb's instuction in this thread but no sucsess... i have tried both uk and irish files, they both scan ok, i can only see FTA channels. others are scrambled!! left on a few of scrambled channels for like 15 mins each, but they do not de-scramble..

oh, n when i go to menu then highlight accessory and on the remote press the numbers "8989", "K*yedit" should appear on the right hand side, but nothing happens!!

i have used starview 1, and 3 before with no probs...

would be greatful for any help getting the box working, as i am stuck like...

i live in leeds area if that makes any difference. (do not know if thats n1 or n3)

    cheers

i followed a writern tutorial, which was the same as the pic ones you sent me... so your tutorial is exactly what i did, exept for i was told to have my USB drive formatted to FAT32... do you think that may be the problem...??

    thanks....

    format usb to fat 32
    do a factory reset
load firmware and do another factory reset
follow the guide as above in link

and then do a check list

    1. cable is connected AS IN TV CABLE

    2. lan (broadband) is connected from router to box

    3. you presed 8989 on accessory and made sure everything is on/autoupdate.ect..

    4. Menu - Option -networks - net application - Ustream

    5. menu - options - osd setup - region, england

    6. menu - options - network - ip setup, auto (ip address should be seen)

leave on movies/sports for 10 min and see if any channels have cleared

and most important your area must have done changeover to nag.3
