Starview 6 working!!

    Please help if you can.... I followed the instructions provided by hooter however, after scanning when I return to the menu and highlighting accessory when I enter 8989, I do not get 'k#yedit' on the right hand side. I am faced with Rs232, (somthing else) and Emulator. Then when I put on a non Fta channel it does not scramble.
    Please help.....many thanks.

    did you put the software on your box first also did you follow the instructions on doing the procudure and do you have your ethernet cable connected to your box

    I have my internet connected direct to my box via coax cable is that right? Or do I need wall socket to modem, modem to box via internet cable?

    how do you do that??
    yes you need your lan cable going direct from your modem/router to your box
    also your cable going to the back of the box aswell

    and options,osd setup= region england/ireland

    network, ip setup= auto

    net aplications, type=ustream/istream ustream for uk istream for ire

    you have your cable split by the sounds of it

    so 1 the cable you had going to your original box put that into your new box

    next the modem cable must be going to your router

    there should be extra slots on your router so get a cable from the empty slot on router to the box then follow the instructions above

    HI can anyone let me know if i can use a kryptview 780 or a starview 6 by using a virgin connection my internet connection is not through a phone line, currently have a starview 4

    you can use any broadband you like as long as its working

    yep the starview.6 or krypt a780 will work once you have broadband and cable connections

    is there any difference between a broadband connection and a cable connection

    I thought you only needed the broadband connected to your box, your last message says braodband and cable connections to your box?

    as long as you have an ethernet connection going from modem or router to box its fine

    cable as in basic connection for your box to work
    and broadband to get by the nag.3

    @modee420 cable is for your pipe tv to work and broadband for your internet to work
    you need both for the starview.6

    Krypt view A780 or Starview?
    Heard S*view gonna make you get a new box every year and Krypt View well im not Sure, any1 got any info for me ?
    Where best place to by them ? Krypt view seems harder to get hold of like.
    P.S live in North East England :)

    well there is a link under e45 for the kryptview called 'facebook'
    and yes when the starview came out they said it will have to be replaced after 12 months

    Hi Hooter @ the moment i have only the internet connection for my starview 4 i have used a splitter for 1 of the wires to go to the starview box, will that be enough for the A780 and the SV6

    you dont use the internet for the starview you use normal cable
    but as long as you have a modem/router that has a lan connection in it, you can connect your lan cable in that and then to your box

    My only fear is if the box is connected to the modem/router will the ip address be traceable

    they still can not tell you are using a dodgy box
    as far as i can tell
