Hi there,i've searched the forums and i cant find the specific software for what i'm looking for...i have a starview..the box, and a eurovox max v, both are gunuine.I got both of them in feb this year and since the BIG BANG with all the codes (NTeeL mmds in dublin) at the start of summer neither have worked..i gather that i have to re-flash them with updated software, i see from the forum that i need firmware 4.50 for the box,but i cant find a link to it anywhere..i dont know what i need for the eurovox..i bought the leads today from map..ns,so i'm hopefully ready to go

big thanks noelyf ..the eurovox is working perfectly..brilliant ..but the box ??..i still cant open the firmware,i hope i downloaded the correct onethebox_Ireland_H20070705_450eE_api.bin) each time i go to open it with winrar it keeps trying to re-install winrar..i have already rebooted the p.c. a couple of times and i have winrar running but each time i go to open the link to the firmware on the desktop ..it does the same...what am i doing wrong..i have to go to work now so i'll have a try again tomorrow...thanks again
Glad you got the EV working Try this with the 4.50. Right click on the bin file. It might say Extract all files. Click on this & follow the steps. Best of luck. BTW, you need the GTRom 4.00 also.
hi there noelyf, i've managed to load the bin file but when i scan for channels it only gets 15 channels..(all on tp14)..when i look at then in fav the names are broken up and when i select them the scrambled or bad channels message comes up..so i cant go to sky sports to finish the process..just as a matter of interest,do i need Cryptstar - V1.4 genuine , i have'nt got it, or could i just have had a bad flash...when i flashed it the message came up to say it was complete,and the box had numbers on it increasing to about 103 as it was flashing..thanks for your patience
If its starview 2 "The B0x" then no, the crypstar v-1.4 is for the Starview 1 genuine only. Sounds like it flashed ok. Did you try a factory reset?
Menu > Factory setting Pin - 0000 Press ok to delete TURN THE B0X OFF AT THE BACK FOR ONE MIN THEN TURN BACK ON English > installation choose provider Auto scan > press ok Channels found Exit Menu > 1570 Turn EMU on Exit, Exit, Exit.
