StarView Box 3 - No channels found

    Wouldnt hold my breath but have read that talks are ongoing....never know with these two though.

    Hello DesB,

    Thanks for your detailed post..

    I am using GTRom_Super_6.01e.exe software for loading image.. Currently it is not giving me any option to select BIN file. So, I just programmed it whatever it has in the software.

    So, it programmed 100% successfully and automatically reset the "The BOX". The BOX is working fine after download.; But still I am unable to find out any channels after I select Installation-> Provider Selection + Auto Scan...

    Can you please help me in getting it up and running?

    Boot Ver: 8.0
    7.Mar.2008


    The message that appears after automatic scan is: "0 Program Found"

    Try the latest firmware 7.05 in Eamos FTA Library at the bottom of my post.

    Hello sc0user,

    I downloaded the verion 7.0 and programmed it.

    Following is my system information:

    THE BOX SUPER
    API ver: 7.05e_E
    Boot Ver: 8.0
    10.Apr.2008

    But I still cannot get any channel. I am getting "0 Programs Found" message after Selecting Installation->Provider Selection 'N--Tea---L'->Automatic Scan.

    Currently, I just program it and performing automatic scan.

    Can you please guide me to resolve this issue? Am i missing some step? Do i need to download separate BIN file as well? where can i find BIN file? Do I need to change the CODE settings as well..??

    The other thread I had this on seems to be closed now.

    My inital question was: why is the EPG on the starview sooo bad
    Got some good replies and help to fix.

    But it is still not 100% and I know that it is as good as I will get it. But WHY is it so bad...is it a fault in the starview system. The EV is perfect...is there an upload I should use to get the EPG functioning better on the SV?

    Hi Lads,

    Quick question for any of the senior members. Just got The Box Super. I'm using 'N--Tea---L' and I'm in dublin. Does anyone know if I should use V6.00 (24/4/08) or V7.05 (7/5/08) from the shared folder? My 'The Box' (i.e. genuine starview 2) is working fine with V4.50 Ireland.

    the 7.05e is the latest firmw@re for the b0x sup3r.
    This will do the trick.

    The version you have put on to The Box Super (as you have posted above), is the latest firmware for your box, are you sure you are selecting your correct provider and do you have a live cable feed going into the cable input socket also check that your connections are secure - if so you should be up and running.

    Sorry bill I should have stated, No - you do not need a seperate bin file for initial setup, you need to ensure that all above is correct, it does look like your provider is incorrect or no live cable feed in cable input at the moment, double check all in my previous post.

    "Looking back at your initial posting, you did have firmware on your box which was the first release 600eE for The Super, so you still should have been able to find channels at that point if you do have a live cable feed/and correct provider, so that has to be your problem"
