Thanks tuohy but it still doesnt work with the 1570 what exactly do you have to do just push menu then 1570 cause thats what i tried if soo any more suggestions ?

Hi,
just got my starview box today, had a few problems i.e a loose heatsink was rattling around inside the box but opened it up and fixed it. Took a while to get the channels to find but it's sorted now!
I was just wondering how you can change the date on the box so that the EPG works?
i've changed the time via the menu but the time on the box front (LEDs) isn't correct. I can live with that but the date issue for the EPG is bugging me!
any responses will be greatly appreciated!

Yes Tuohy i did try that or did i need to do em both together .
But either way nothing happens any more suggestions?

try the master reset code 1668,in both options 1 and 2 ,..you are sure you have a software programme on it,..if all faills,reflash with the 257,and then do a factory reset,then a scan,then turn you emu on,..ie options 1 and 2

 

Cheers Tuohy i tried that now twice but still dont seem to want to work whats this 257 and how do i get it and what do i do with it lol sorry bit of a newb when it comes to this sort of thing.

Just a quick update to say i've sorted the EPG now, and for anyone else having problems with it, just try going into the settings, then time settings and set the time to AUTO and that should fix it! EPGs a bit slow but can't complain really.

Hello everyone ... just flashed my box with STARVIEW 257 API.bin and box wont switch on, LED display flashing a single dash line from right to left in order ??

ANY HELP would be appreciated, just hope i hav'nt blown my box up ? PC

 

HELP!!! my starview froze earlier & now it wont work at all, no lights on front! i know theres power going to the box cos when i switch mains on my tv switches on to AV1 then back to normal tv.

Any ideas any one??

this happened to a member earlier in the week,...it happens when you
flash with the new software,..and dont wait for ON to come on before
unpluging,..reflash your box and wait till on appears,that should do it

reflash your box,..sounds like a bad flash,..and wait till on appears

 

it cant be a bad flash cos its been working fine for a few weeks. ive tried reflashing it but the gtloader keeps saying failed, looks like the box is dead!! i reckon every ones will go like this eventually

I've got a Eurovox max (2006) that's gone off. Is it the same as a starview box?

this may sound stupid?....but have you turned the switch on at
the rear of the box,...first time i flashed my box,i forgot to switch it back on and got the same thing that happened to you?

pc, but the box is dead. when switched on theres no leds on the front. theres a lot of confusement about the difference between real & fake boxes. according to the satdownloads site my box is fake but my box supplier guarantees the box is genuine & I trust him. I flashed the box with 260 about a week ago then lastnight the picture froze then it just died. Im guessing the 260 firmware is dodgy but who knows!! ive started a new thread called starview fakes, i hope every one with problems or not will reply, then maybe we can put an end to this confusement!!

can anyone help i got a starview box on line and i cant get any channels in i tuned in all the channels only getting a few FTA channels do i need to update the software ? and if so how do i do it .
