Starview Box Problems(fixed)***no email posting or banned***

    yes i've done it! many thanks to all the members that have helped. i will share with you what i did:

    i live in the uk so i put the uk codes in for telewest, ntl and c&w. (find more details in a post above).

    then i turned the EMU to ON. (somewhere in parental control, see a post above).

    thanks for your help guys - especially fergusrb who responded to my question.

    make sure the box is on an unscrambled channel first then go to menu type in 1570 on key pad go to emu and if it is turned off turn it on exit out then go back to menu key in 1570 again go to negravision which should be highlighted already when you key in the number click ok then make sure N** is in the top box then make sure in not the next box down but the one after that you see 00 go to data then put codes here first set make sure you click ok after putting first set of keys in then go back up to the 00 and change this to 01 by moving the cursor on the remote> get 0 first then> then put the 1 in back down to data put second set in then press ok again to save second set then repeat until you have all the keys in saving all the time as you finish entering in a row of keys then exit press 3 times should work then

    You need to select all of these codes

    go to id provider and select NTL and put these codes in

    00: D5 68 00 5A 29 36 51 D1
    01: E4 87 54 Df 4D 01 EC BA

    Press OK

    then Select Telewest and put these codes in

    00: 4A 56 C3 4E 55 FC CB 14
    01: 0B 0D FC 37 7E BF FE 13

    Press OK

    Then select C&W and put these codes in

    00: 1F EE 87 F9 E3 FA 2A AB
    01: EC 05 9C B0 3B 95 A2 A7

    and press ok

    On the starview remote:

    Pause button = Letter A
    Audio button(next to pause!) = B
    Red(sub) button = C
    Green(next to Red!) = D
    Yellow = E
    Blue = F

    To enter numbers use the numbers on the remote 0-9.
    To move left or right use the navigation buttons left and right.
    To confirm press ok.


    This one only for uk area only

    I Presume you are in the UK would i be right

    Sorry i haven't got a problem with this but i myself have not heard anybody else talk on this particular thread talk about this box they all seem to talk about the starview

    Fergus,

    The first time i did it i didn't ok after each line i did this this time but it still hasn't worked!
    My EMU was on when i did it and i was also on an unscrambled channel.
    I have put in each line and pressed ok and had an assistant to confirm the numbers were right.
    Should i have pressed ok at any other time like when i changed fron N*l to T*l*west?
    I definately will leave it until the morning now but any more assistance would be appreciated.

    I presume you would need to but i haven't heard anyone else say this but you could try when you are finished did you check to see if your emu was still on you could also try switching the box off and re boot it and see what happens sorry i cant help you further this guy tried this and it worked for him he turned the emu off try his way

    FOR N*L IRELAND ONLY !!
    Here’s what you need to do ,

    • Press ‘MENU’ button on remote

    • Click on ‘PARENTAL CONTROL’

    • Press ‘INFO’ button on remote

    • Where it says ‘type in old pin’ put in 2004

    • Then click on ‘ NAGRAVISION’

    • ‘Key number’ should be 00

    • Go down to KEY DATA

    • Change second digit (1) to (B) - THIS IS DONE BY HIGHLIGHTING THE ‘1’ AND PRESSING AUDIO BUTTON ON THE REMOTE – it should change to ‘B’ )

    • IT WAS 31 SHOULD NOW BE 3B

    • Numbers should now be: 3b d5 b1 4a 53 e0 71 6c

    • THEN PRESS OK ON REMOTE!! - You should see the ok/store at bottom of screen flicker and ‘store’ go to white !

    • Go back up to ‘key number’ and change it to ‘01’ by pressing the > arrow on remote)

    • Goto ‘key data’ again

    • Now change the 2nd digit (1) to (B) same as before

    • Numbers should now be : cb c9 bb a1 1f 39 ff 86

    • THEN PRESS OK ON REMOTE!!


    Now exit out of everything until your back watching T.V and it should be back up and running.

    This is best way to see it looks something like this

    N T L

    Provider id Number

    00

    Data D5 68 00 5A 29 36 51 D1 click ok to save

    Then do like this N T L

    Provider id Number

    01

    Data E4 87 54 Df 4D 01 EC BA click ok to save

    Then start on next as above only change NTL to Telewest an so on till finished saving as you are going along then make sure emu is switched on

    Hi guys. I'm a virgin at this stuff, so sorry if I'm going over old ground, but hope you can help. I've been having same prob with my starview box loosing loads of channels. Have tried to follow instructions to change codes in NAGRAVISION but can't find Telewest or ntl when I scroll through the provider ID's (got C$W, and loads of others). I'm using firmware version 257, do I need to change this to get them? Any help very much appreciated.

    did all this mate and nothing changed.....
    i tried fixing this m yself b4 coming on the net and i now have all my channels scrambled except rte2 and tv3

    When you go into nagravision it should say on the top what provider is on under this you have the provider id with numbers in the box do not put the codes in here this is only the provider id

    Under that you should see another set of numbers like 00 or 01 if you have 00 up go down to the next set of numbers and this is where you put the first set in when you have the first set in press ok on remote to save you will see the screen flicker as it changes

    Next go back up to the box with the two numbers where it has 00 right click on the > part of the remote and change the 00 to 01 if it does not change to the 1 just highlight and put it in manualy

    Next back down to the codes and put the next set in again save after putting these ones in as well

    Next back up to provider id box with the numbers use the > arrow on the remote till you find the next provider you need and do exactly the same routine as above with the numbers till you have them all in exit out when finished and make sure your emu is switched on

    you can always look back at the further threads that have been done for any further information just take your time doing this as one wrong number or letter and your machine will not work best of luck let us all know if you get it to work

    This has worked first time for me everything hes mentioned here is classic of what people do when they first install and scan there starview box that me included. N ow i totally understand anyone else suffering after theyve entered codes must try this fresh install again first.

    THIS IS THE FIX BELOW PLEASE FOLLOW CAREFULLY.

    Ok heres what you need to do UK only,
    Go to EMU menu (press menu key on remote then type 1570 this brings up the hidden menu) highlight Navigation and press OK.
    This is what you have to enter:

    You need to select all of these codes

    go to id provider and select NTL and put these codes in

    Can i just add that if you put the codes in for the UK to make your Starview channels come back, you need to turn the EMU 'ON' if you get the 'Scrambled or Bad Channel' message on your channels with the DOLLAR SIGN $ next to them.

    I know this only for the UK.
