Starview Box Problems(fixed)***no email posting or banned***

Hi, me again. Thx for reply, but don't think i explained my problem very well.
I understand the procedure, but cannot find TELEWEST or NTL when i scroll through the provider id's, so can't access/change codes.
Have loads of others, including EX C&W, (can list what i do have if that'll be any help) but no TW or NTL.
Can locate both under INSTALLATION menu, and used TW to run automatic scan, but that's the only place i can find them.
Can I add their ID number manually? And if I can what are they?
Sorry for probably going over old ground, but am really stumped.

it does work in the irish market,..also new update released today,.

I am sorry mate cant help you with the UK provider id codes i am on the other side of the sea we do not use tel or cw but if you know someone with another box just ask them to go into the negravision area and look at there numbers for twes and cw you should be able to enter these manual and save when you put the numbers in sorry cant help on this also i think you need the 258 file look back up tuohy has it if you pm him he will give it to you dont leave your e/mail on forum ok

 

I have just found some information on another site advising all people using the starview box not to change the firmware they are using as there seems to be a compatibility problem with the new autoroll and changing your firmware so keep what you have for the present till i can see if i can get any further info but of course its purely a persons own choice as this is for information purposes only

 

Hi Lads,
Not too seem ungrateful or anything, but a 3 or 4 programs have not come through for me, Is it just me or is everyone in the same boat. I have done factory reset etc, but still no joy.
Here are channels Im missing
Sky Sports Xtra
Nick Jnr
Sky Premier
Sky Modern Grts
anyone else here have same problem.

You could try a re scan of your channels and see would this do the trick also make sure your emu is switched on

 

is there a possibility that I could lose more if I do this

 

Did you do what the previous posts said regarding putting in N** codes then Telw** then C/* if not go back over previous pages the information is there if you like to try that first also did you update your firmware by any chance to 258 or 260 as there seem to be a prob with updating due to the change of codes

 

lol... ok mate u have lost me, Im new to this and ur codes of 260 etc. has confused the life out of me!
here is what I did:
factory reset then entered in new N** codes as stated in other posts. All channels came back except the ones mentioned.

THIS IS THE FIX BELOW PLEASE FOLLOW CAREFULLY.

Ok heres what you need to do UK only, Go to EMU menu (press menu key on remote then type 1570 this brings up the hidden menu) highlight Navigation and press OK.
This is what you have to enter:

You need to select all of these codes

go to id provider and select NTL and put these codes in

00: D5 68 00 5A 29 36 51 D1
01: E4 87 54 Df 4D 01 EC BA

Press OK

then Select Telewest and put these codes in

00: 4A 56 C3 4E 55 FC CB 14
01: 0B 0D FC 37 7E BF FE 13

Press OK

Then select C&W and put these codes in

00: 1F EE 87 F9 E3 FA 2A AB
01: EC 05 9C B0 3B 95 A2 A7

and press ok

On the starview remote:

Pause button = Letter A
Audio button(next to pause!) = B
Red(sub) button = C
Green(next to Red!) = D
Yellow = E
Blue = F

To enter numbers use the numbers on the remote 0-9.
To move left or right use the navigation buttons left and right.
To confirm press ok.


This top one only for uk area only

no bother mate!
Im in south of Ireland, Waterford and they are the codes I entered but still makes no difference.
I know of other people living near me who has the same problem.

 

If you want to take a chance and rescan do so or just wait till a proper fix comes out as the codes are only temp measure i think hope you get sorted

 

I think I will wait for proper codes mate, We can live without a few channels although the kids are having DT's over nick junior...lol

Hi all , I am new here and in Dublin also, I bought a Starview box of a local guy and it went bang yesterday like everyone elses , I called him and he came to my house to recode it in 2 mins.
It cost me 10 Euro to get done and I didn't mind paying as it would be well worth it
I have read over a good few threads about this problem and I checked my codes he installed and they are slightly different to whats posted on this site. I would hate to walk on anyone's toes or confuse people but I am sharing my codes with you all to see if it helps any of you . Hope you don't mind me doing this !

No Prob you could do a manual scan as well or try to get the code from someone for nickj**
