Starview Box Problems(fixed)***no email posting or banned***

i just bought a new starview box and everything was fine until i connected d box to a tv upstairs,now i can only get sound but no picture,d tv is split from d main room downstairs,has that anything to do with it? could really do with some help.

 

in regards to the picture ratio version 257 is the most stable at the moment your problem is your TV settings, starview doesnt have the ability to decode the transmitting of channels. You needs to alter your tv viewing options in order for the channel to fit.

Also with the no picture but sound issue, check your splitter make sure the leads are try unscrewing it and putting it back in make sure your f plug is in correct or even just check your scarts

cheers tommy,got it sorted. d connection for d scart at back of tv was faulty so i just swaped d tv for a diff one,worked a treat!

 

for those people with sky movies of sync!! cant believe it took me this long to sort it. just restore factory settings, do ur search then it will be all fine and dandy! if u dont have any channels after the search go to parental control hit info then 2004 u will get the hidden menu then turn emu on! coz been out of sync has done my nipples in for about a month now

 

sorry ive not been on for a while. the reason ive not been on for a while is that my starview box has worked perfectly since i done the following steps. (in red down the bottom)


make sure when u have both the files in red on ur box first.

1- Reset the starview box back to factory settings
2- Use ur pc and cable and install the BIN file u got with ur box (shud be H20060918_258eE_api if uve not got it ill send u it)
3- then install the BIN file 26012007_257eE_api (i can send tht aswell) once complete >
4- plug the box back in and select automatic channel search once finished turn the box off and back on.
5- as soon as u turn the box back on go to menu then parental lock press info and enter 2004 to get to the secret menu and turn EMU on
6- go to a scrambled channel and let it update...........


1- press menu
2- installation
3- manual scan
4- then go down to Network scan press right on the arrow keys to enable it then press ok it should scan for channels. once it has finished use shud have all the channels working fine but u might get 2 of every channel so ull need to go through them all and delete the ones tht don't work.

hope it works for use. has worked perfectly for me

 

PLease can someone send me the new firmware for the Starview box, my box has september 2006 firmware and is unable to display any of the premium channels.
