put your provider on it we use N** over here also you need to enter all the codes for all providers in the negravision area you can get them at the link on my post called codes put in 1 row at a time and make sure you press ok after each row you enter or you will have to go back and do it again ok

no rush you just have to understand people get offended easy if you start taking the P*** out of them with smart comments about getting an expert out to fix it you have to be patient we have lots of requests and there are few to answer all of the questions there are about 5/6 good people on here that give there time for nothing so maybe think before you put pen to paper as they say

But i am glad you are sorted happy viewing and dont be afraid to come back if you have a problem we will get to you and sort you to the best of our ability ok

you guys are experts, yes. but i wasn't speaking sarcasticcly, or taking the p***. i was actually meaning an 'expert' as in the person that sold and set up my starview box for me, or his brother, so they can actually see my problem. but thanks anyway mate, you've been great help.

To update "THE B0X" , you will need 3 things first .

    1. A Null Modem Cable (9 pin female to 9 pin female)
    2. GT Rom Loader (Software)
    3. V4.51 UK .bin file (Firmware)

Number 1 , either you got it with your SV or you will have to buy it
Number 2 and 3 can be downloaded below , thanks to Eamo.
    Eamo's SV Library
    http://eko.4shared.com/

    Updating Firmware

Connect your box and PC with a Null modem cable and switch on the cable box and put it on STANDBY.
(The Starview does not need to be connected to TV to update it with GTROM)

Open GTROM Loader software make sure that you set the correct COM PORT
that matches the one that is being used

Make sure App file only is selected, then click Bin File & browse to the firmware where you downloaded
    it to on your PC.

Run the GTROM loader by pressing Download and you will see the % progress increase
then Download completed message on your PC.
Wait until you see the DOWNLOAD COMPLETE pop up on your PC before
removing the NULL MODEM CABLE. The Starview will then reboot

Turn off and turn back on and plug your tv cable and scart back in
