Starview Box with The Box Firmware installed, problems!!!!

hi i put my star view box on to night and it was not working agen i restored the setting no i can not get it to pick up any channles can any help

 

Tried again - same result nothing at all For STD model does this mean my lead is not working

 

HI picker1 help on usb adapter
1 go to start menu
2 right click on my computer
3 select properties
4 click on hardware tab
5 click on device manager
6 click on + sign next to ports ( COM&LPT)
7 one of the listed ports should indicate which port your USB adaptar is connected to (COM 1 COM 2 COM 3 COM 4)
8 go back to software that you use to transfer data and make sure it is looking at the right port
9 you should be able to transfer data once the correct port is selected

For starview 1 genuine only, the current firmware is CryptStar v 1.4 you will find it in here, it is not auto-rolling on CH*R*S >

You are correct in saying the CryptStar-v1.4 is unsuitable for you, as you have stated that you have loaded V4,50 on to your box - so I assume that it is Starview 2 The Box that you have and CryptStar-v1.4 is only for Starview 1, i thought The Box was updating in Ireland it is still updating in UK Version 4.51.

 

Your thoughts are correct.

 

Go back into the library and download Winrar35.exe from the starview folder and use that to open it.

Just wanted to say thanks to ScOuser and malci for your replies. Since I installed the file (thebox_Ireland_H2**70705_450eE_api.bin) (about 4 hours ago), the box (Starview 2) has been working fine. So hopefully my good fortune will continue. Thanks again guys!!!!!!!

Hi,i just updated a starview 2(the box)and it downloads file and everything seems to go ok,when download is complete it turns on and on stays on the display,when connected back up to the tv the same thing it sticks to on on the display,nothing appears on the screen and no acess to the menu,the remote turns it on and off,it had version 2.57 before i added 4.54 is this fixable,please help

 

put v4.50 ireland on it, or 4.51uk.depending where you are.

Just to let you know, when I downloaded 4.54 onto my starview 2(the box, the exact same thing happened to me. I don't think 4.54 works for Ireland. When i downloaded (thebox_Ireland_H2**70705_450eE_api.bin) from the shared folder it's been workin fine. (including auto-rolling!!!!!!)
So realblock is right, if you're in Ireland put v4.50 ireland on it. It works.
