Starview box wont work please help

the only reason i ask where u plugged in coaxial there are 2 ins and 2 outs and wanted to make 100% sure no one else has moved it,as it does happen,are ur tv channels working on tv when coaxial is plugged into that?

 

if u power off box at back for a min/on do u get a message on screen?

 

yea the standard sky1,bbc etc are ok.

 

Also check your scart is in the TV slot at the back of the b0x, & pushed in fully.

 

i powered off for a min fliched it back on, the box logo came up and then it went to select language

 

would a loose scart stop u from scanning channels in,as in 0 programs found?

 

Dont know cactikid, i`ll try anything at this stage lol.

 

holy shit im a fool yeah the scart lead was a tad bit loose just found 161 programes!! they all say scrambled or bad channel, any ideas now?

so it does not say no signal,it might need to be reflashed again then,one last thing to try ,autoscan tel**est,0 programs found,menu1570,nagra ok see if id has changed,then factory reset if u can,power off box min/on and autoscan n*l,0programs found ,and nagra ok,check if correct ones are there

 

u should get about 173 channels

 

ok new problems! just re scanned on ntl got only 24 channels. provider id is 54 01. i have some channels like euronews russia and shit but only six or seven. I have no sky sports1 at all.

 

they do a lazy scan sometimes,factory reset,english power off box min/on and continue, i presume ur coaxial is straight from wall to box no splitters or ext?

 

yea its straigt from the wall, ive done what u said and its now got 161 program found. Most of them say scrambled or bad channel apart from the euro news channels and sports exchange.

 

do the menu 1570 and switch emu on at least u have a number of channels
every time u factory reset and scan u have to put emu to on

 

cheers mate, ive got most channels back, you should charge for that kinda info! while your here do you know anything about laptops? im looking to buy on for around 700euro that will do web browsing,bebo,music,email, etc but it also must be able for gamming smooth with call of duty 4, any ideas?
