wat does mmds mean?

 

yes you have a problem boxes will not work on an ariel on the roof you have to be getting the signal from a cable network you can try but you are on what we call mmds service so you could have a problem the freq are on the link just go thru the posts there is not many

 

i thought the firmware was supposed to make it work on mmd.

 

i do have ch***s in provider id and i have try in tru cble iswell and still the same.

 

Ryan as far as i know none of them do there is different software for the mmds now i could be wrong but dont think so

 

i have a friend that has ch***s working with dream box form aerial in roof in same aerial , can it be tha the box wont do the job?

 

i am not sure myself.

 

Ok try this go to manual and put the symbol rate in for C***** then the freq in there that you have found and press ok and see what you get do them all one at a time

my starview clone, switches on and on the box screen zero comes up, its not responding to any manual or remote commands, what should be done.

 

what firmware had you on it and what country you in.

 

with the box provider on "absent without leave" I have little idea about firmware, I'm in the UK, w/midlands.

 

i think your box might be dead.so it will need to be brought back with a jtag.

 

Ok, I'll get it from maplins and with the links shown in your message, it should be uploaded with bin file, I presume ?

 

no a jtag is not a .bin you need to get a 25pin cable cut it open solder some wires to the mother boarded of your box and reboot it.some people will do it for £10.
